A community gathering and animal parade through Swannanoa’s historic Beacon Village with Brass Your Heart marching band. Featuring original music by Superflower and a choreographed “flying v” goose dance inspired by our friend and neighbor Mark Dempsey- a legume expert, member of Appalachian Seed Growers Collective, and grower of the legendary “Blue Goose” southern pea. Also we featured bike powered street projections by of the Tangerine Darter, a species re-introduced into the Swannanoa River before Helene and recently reported to be in existence after Helene.
